Starting in 2025, Skeppsudden became a non-profit organisation devoted to deepening connection — to self, to others, and to something larger. We are deeply grateful for your presence here, and for the energy you bring to this intention.

As stewards of the garden, we are committed to gently refining every part of the experience — from this very exchange to the moment we wave goodbye. Your feedback, whether before, during, or after your stay, is a gift that helps us realize Skeppsudden’s full potential as a sanctuary for some of Sweden and indeed The World’s most inspiring space holders.

In short: we want this process to feel easeful, vibrant, and clear — and we truly welcome anything you’d like to share with us along the way so that we can more effectively reach for our purpose of weaving a paradise for many to share.

What is the place like?

The retreat center is situated on Bråviken, a beautiful body of water in Sweden, known for its nature and rich history.

The main temple, or workshop space, can take up to 100 people, and we have beds for up to 70 people.

We offer special accommodation for course leaders, with a meditation tower, overlooking the eight hectare grounds and Bråviken.

There is an award winning sauna that seats up to 25 people, in the middle of the one kilometer private shoreline, with a jetty just outside.

If you have any questions regarding the facilities, please let us know. We strive to be as flexible as possible and can accommodate most needs - be it full on privacy, an ecstatic dance party while the sun sets over the water or a stage for musical performance in the orchard.

Prices ¹

This fee includes: breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea, coffee, seasonal fruit, 24-hour sauna, a cozy bed in a shared room, firewood, blanket, pillows, workshop spaces, showers, toilet facilities, technical support and all of the beautiful land of Skeppsudden to explore and enjoy.

It does not include: transportation, private rooms, fresh linen and towels, charging EVs, or use of the washing machine, cleaning or washing of dishes during meals (all this is available to guests for an extra cost).

We ask for a minimum of 20 people per booking.

For every 10 people that come, one person can come for free. This comes with the condition that for every 10 people that come, one person from our volunteer team can join the retreat you host here for free - naturally only if it is a retreat that takes on people without prior qualifications.

This energetic exchange is an important part of powering the non-profit, and helps us keep the paradise growing through volunteers that come here to connect to self and take care of the land.

Extra services for your participants

Bed sheets, towels and private rooms are available on site. We accept swish, debit and credit cards from the guests⁴.

If you want to make “a buy-out” to also include these elements you are most welcome to do so, and then we will charge you instead of the participants for this sum.

Options for food

At Skeppsudden, we love creating meals that everyone can enjoy. All food included in your event fee is lovingly prepared by our local kitchen team, using mostly vegetarian and seasonal ingredients.

To help us support you and your guests in the best possible way, please let us know in advance if anyone has specific dietary needs or allergies. We do our best to accommodate and typically offer the following options:

• Gluten-free
• Lactose-free
• Vegetarian (no meat)
• Vegan (no animal products)
• Specific food allergies

When you make a booking, we’ll send you a short form for your group to fill in regarding food preferences. If anyone in your group has allergies or other essential dietary needs, please return the completed form no later than 10 days before the event. This helps us create a safe, nourishing, and welcoming mealtime for everyone.

Our kitchen team is also flexible and happy to co-create with you. If you would like meals based on a particular food philosophy — such as fully organic, Ayurvedic, gluten-free for all, or including ethically sourced wild meat — that can often be arranged for a reasonable additional cost.

For simplicity we offer a more premium menu at cost price - charging nothing extra for the extra labor, but only for the ingredients necessary to take the dining to the next level.

Dishwashing

At Skeppsudden, dishwashing is a shared responsibility. After each meal, participants team up in groups of 2–3 to wash dishes in our user-friendly, restaurant-grade dishwashing area. Our staff will be on hand to answer any questions if needed. We provide a sign-up schedule so guests can choose their preferred shifts.

If you’d rather have our staff take care of all dishwashing, this service is available.

Cleaning & recycling

When you arrive, the venue will be clean and ready for you. In return, we ask that you clean up after your stay, including both common areas and any personal spaces you’ve used. You’ll receive clear cleaning instructions, and most groups set aside 1–2 hours at the end of their stay for this. This includes the final cleaning of the kitchen regardless if you choose to cook yourself or hire our chef.

If you prefer not to handle the cleaning yourself, we offer a cleaning service⁵.

We take care of waste disposal from the recycling station on site.

Damages

The main rule is that the event is responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear, and our practice here will be to simply have a dialogue and land in something that is fair and clear together. In case of an accident we will assess the situation together to determine a fair resolution. In cases of negligence or misuse, you agree to cover the cost of repairs or replacements based on mutual understanding. We have had no problems with this in the past and think it will continue to run smoothly : - )

Cancellation charges

We understand that plans can change, and we always aim to meet each other with clarity, fairness, and good communication. When a booking is made, we reserve the space, staff planning, and calendar time specifically for your group, which also means we turn away other potential bookings. Because of that, late cancellations affect us more the closer we get to your arrival.

Our cancellation structure is designed to reflect this in a transparent and balanced way:

- Cancellations or changes made later than eight weeks before arrival are charged at 50% of the variable booking value.

- Cancellations or changes made later than six weeks before arrival are charged at 75% of the variable booking value.

- Cancellations or changes made later than four weeks before arrival are charged at 100% of the variable booking value.

The closer we are to your event, the harder it is for us to rebook the space, which is why the percentage increases over time.

That said, we value dialogue. If something unexpected happens, we encourage you to reach out as early as possible so we can explore options together. In some cases, changes of dates or other solutions may be possible, especially when there is good time and communication.

Our intention is not to be rigid, but to create clear agreements that support both your planning and the sustainability of our place.

For the purposes of the above cancellation charge, the variable booking value is the total guest variable cost for our minimum booking of 20 guests.

The fixed fee is charged at 100%.

Force majeure applies both ways, with a 100% refund and no liability.
