Travel Information
By car from Stockholm
Approx. 150 km. Drive south on the E4 towards Nyköping. At Nyköpingsbron, continue about 1 km and take the exit towards Arkösund / Ferry. Follow the ferry signs towards Arkösund for about 20 km.
The ferry across Bråviken departs 5 minutes past every full and half hour. After the ferry, drive 6 km to the main road, Road 209. Turn right towards Norrköping and continue for about 4 km.
Turn right at the sign "Järstad" and follow the road towards Järstad. Shortly after the "Järstad" sign, you will reach a T-junction. Turn left at the sign "Skeppsudden 800 m". After 800 meters, turn right towards Skeppsudden, drive another 150 meters, park, and walk to the main building — the large yellow house.
By car from Norrköping
Follow signs towards Norrköping Airport. After passing the airport, you are on Road 209 towards Arkösund. After approximately 15 km, turn left at the sign "Järstad".
Follow the road towards Järstad, passing through a long tree-lined avenue and a farm with white buildings. Just after the "Järstad" sign, you will reach a T-junction. Turn left towards "Skeppsudden 800 m", then turn right towards Skeppsudden. After 150 meters, park and walk to the large yellow main house.
By train or bus
Travel to Norrköping. From there, buses run almost all the way to Skeppsudden. Bus 440 towards Arkösund departs from the bus terminal next to the train station. Get off at "Östra Stenby Vägkors".
Please let Skeppsudden know in advance if you would like to be picked up at the bus stop.
On-demand public transport
On-Demand Transport — local public transport by private taxi — is available to everyone, both residents and visitors. It operates weekdays 09:00–12:30 and 17:00–22:00, and weekends 09:00–17:00.
To book, call the booking centre at +46 (0)771-71 10 20 at least 2 hours before departure (earlier is recommended). Trips can be booked up to two weeks in advance, and the pickup time may vary by ±45 minutes. Tickets can be purchased in the Östgötatrafiken app or directly from the driver (cash or card). Adult: 65 SEK. Youth / student / senior: 45.50 SEK.
To reach Skeppsudden, On-Demand Transport departs from Hageby – Mirum Galleria. Travel there by direct bus or tram (line 2) — it takes 19 minutes from Norrköping Central station. A separate single-journey "liten zon / stadszon" ticket is required: 35 SEK, or 24.50 SEK for students, youth and seniors.
The taxi ride from Hageby to Skeppsudden takes about 30 minutes. Up to 8 people can travel in the same taxi and there is plenty of room for luggage — the vehicle is chosen based on how many you are.
By taxi
If you want a smoother journey, you can take a regular taxi from Norrköping C straight to Skeppsudden. The cost is between 700–900 SEK.
